If you want to create a volcano for your own family, the volcano itself can be made out of clay or play-doh if you want it to be more realistic looking. Gumby loves playing with plastic containers, so that is what we used. Inside the volcano (small square container inside the larger one) is baking soda. I am not sure how much, experiment with what you want :) Inside the small round stand alone container is vinegar and food coloring. Gumby chose yellow for this volcano, but we also made purple, blue and red! Scoop or pour the vinegar into the baking soda and enjoy the show :)
