Family Life Daily Pictures (4/15/2012)

Gumby was so excited about the matching outfits and the big/little sister shirts!

they love each other <3

Doesn't it look like Lil Dove is smiling too :)

Muuuaaahhhhh!

Gumby @ 3.5 years and Lil' Dove at 11 weeks.  I love all of Gumby's artwork on the wall behind us.

Love that Smile

Gumby's been into giving super big mooches lately!  They are the best EVA!

This is how Lil' Dove spent most of her day at the zoo :)

Deeda & Gumby

There's Deeda getting one of those supa-huge mooches!

:)

Lil' Dove's First Diaperless (almost) Outing

We were halfway to the mall so that Gumby could enjoy their play area when for some odd reason, we suddenly realized that no one brought the diaper bag.  Deeda was the first to say "Skip it! What's the worst that could happen?" And, after I gave a few of my concerns of exaggerated worse case scenarios, my panic gave way to logic and I realized we could buy some cheap wash cloths to use as diaper inserts or disposable paper diapers if need be. We held course.

What *is* the worst that could happen?

After what was kind of a rough day between Gumby and I, we were all going to the mall to play!

We've been practicing Natural Infant Hygiene since day one with Lil' Dove.  And, wouldn't it be nifty if we could go for just a few hours free from the dependency of the diaper (other than the one she was currently wearing and without having her sit in mess for any time at all)?

Not that we don't have "off" days where I just can't seem to be in touch with Lil' Dove's needs to eliminate (pee-pee or poo), but there are good days.  And, that evening was a good day.  We played; she pottied; we returned home with Lil' Dove in the same dry diaper we left the house with.  No diaper bag.  Yes :)

Family Life Daily Pictures (4/14/2012)

We had a really fun Saturday, but the batteries in the camera were dead and I was too lazy did not take
have time to change them.  If I could have photographed the best parts of the day, I would have a picture of Gumby riding in the cart at Wal-mart kissing my hand as I pushed the cart and of her and Deeda putting the finishing touches in to her fish tank.  Fish are still to come.

But as it is, my kind husband took these pictures of everyone sleeping so that I could have pictures for the day.  So, here we are after are fun and busy day of running around town :

Gumby snoozing in her own bed.  It's been a cat bed and laundry sorter for years, but a few weeks ago, she decided "i want to sleep in my room."  so, here she is :)  Sometimes she still visits in the big bed <3

Family Life Daily Pictures (4/13/2012)

Gumby got a fish tank for Easter.  This weekend we'll bring home some gravel, decorations & fishes.  We wanted her to choose her stuff.  She filled that entire 1 gallon tank using that 1/3 cup scooper.  She loves pouring.  We make ice tea, lemonade and koolaid the same way.  :)

Gumby was having a tea party with all of her animals. I walked past the computer desk and saw this.  It cracked me up.

A few weeks ago, Lil' Dove found her hands.  She loves moving, watching, chewing and sucking on them.

The gold costume necklace is quite interesting also!

There's a giant dog in the village!!!

Family Life Daily Pictures (4/11/2012)

Gumby has loved "free building" with tanagrams for over a year.  She prefers to make her own patterns over doing puzzles with them.
Playing on her homemade Geo-board.  She created a ladder for her favorite buddy Ernie.

Who knew ribbon was so fun.  Lil' Dove loves the shiney appearance and and crinkly noise.  Here she's holding and feeling it.

Family Life Daily Pictures (4/10/2012)

Why wouldn't I put this picture in here?  LOOK AT HER <3

This is a blue print for the creation below.  Not bad, eh?  Gumby's favorite play characters are Ernie and Chicken.  Chicken is a dog toy rubber chicken that the dog never got to play with.  Poor dog. :P
Gumby has been making collages.  I'll find her gathering up construction paper, safety scissors and sometimes colored matchsticks and creating something.  This time she wanted to create Chicken and Ernie.  I could never quite ascertain which of the two this was supposed to be.  I thought it was Ernie, then she added a beak.  She asked me to cut a few of the shapes and she glued them together.  At any rate, I think it looks just like the blue print!

10 Weeks 2 days ... BLUE EYES <3

Picking glue off of her hands from the collage project.  What kid doesn't like to pick glue?

Gumby wanted to set the timer and get a picture of everybody ... so, we did :)
